The government of Jayapura hopes that Nimboran market could operate so that it could continue to give its positive impact on economic sectors of the region.

The Acting Regent of Jayapura Triwarno Purnomo in Jayapura media press on Monday, says that Nimboran Market that was built by the local government back in 2016 was not able to operate and he wish it could as soon as possible.

“If the market could operate, then there would be transactions and trades which would improve the incomes of local community,” he said.

According to Triwarno, the market which stands in a land of 20,000 square meters is not well maintained as there are many wild grass and plants grows. Due to this, government asks Jayapura Industry and Trade Service to clean the area immediately.

“And also to fulfil other requirements and needs of Nimboran Market,” adds Triwarno.

He also explains that his party hopes that after the rejuvenation of Market Nimboran, people especially merchants could use the market to sell their goods.

“Because it would be unfortunate that the building we have built could not be used optimally,” he told the media.

In his conclusion, he stressed that he truly hopes the market could run as soon as possible as it would greatly helps the ecomonic sector of the region.
