The Jayawijaya Regency Government is ready to host the inauguration of three New Autonomous Regions (DOB) in Papua. This is based on the results of a review conducted by the Group III of the New Papua Mountains Province Escort Task Force, Thursday (6/10/2022).
The review was led by the Director of Facilitation of Regional Balance Funds and Loans of the Ministry of Home Affairs, Sumule Tumbo, who also the one who led the Group III.
Sumule said that Jayawijaya Regency, as the would be capital of the Papua Mountains Province, expressed its readiness to host the inauguration of the new autonomous regions which will be held simultaneously. According to him, in terms of geographical location, which is in the middle between the provinces of Central Papua and South Papua, the location of Jayawijaya Regency is considered strategic for the center of the inauguration event.
Not only that, public interest for the inauguration of the new autonomous regions in Jayawijaya is also high. According to Sumule, the people feel proud when they announced the inauguration is carried out in the Papua Mountains Province. For this reason, his party continues to encourage all ranks to be more optimal in preparing the inauguration of the Papua Mountains Province.
Currently, the Group III continues to accelerate the preparations for the inauguration of the Papua Mountains Province. One of these efforts is carried out by reviewing several buildings that will function as government offices.
The buildings that were visited by the group including the education office, agriculture office, and the education and training center. In addition to inspecting the building, the team also checked the infrastructure in each building that will function as a government office of the Papua Mountains Province. As for the inadequate infrastructure, the Jayawijaya Regency Government will renovate it to make it more optimal.
