A student from private university in Semarang, with the initials AN (22), has been identified as a suspect in the case of sexual abuse of Papua Mountains Governor daughter that caused her death, Monday (5/22).
“Today we are able to present the suspect with the initials of AN, aged 22, which is still a student in one of private university in Semarang, Economic Faculty,” said Head of Semarang Police, Irwan Anwar, during press conference.
His party have examined nine witnesses and have prepared which article will be used against the suspect, gathering the evidence and expert statements, particularly the forensics.
“According to statements from the forensics, the victim died due to afexia or respiratory failure, suffocation, and suspected poisoning,” said Irwan.
It was reported that AN knew ABK from social media and arranged a meeting between the two of them.
AN lives around Penggaron Kidul, Central Java, while ABK lives in Plamongan Sari, which is not far from where AN lives.
AN then asked ABK out and the two of them went to Kos Venus. There, AN have already prepared some alcohol beverages for both of them.
“This beverages have been prepared before meeting ABK on May 18th,” says Irwan.
After having sexual intercourse and drinking the beverages, ABK felt nauseous . AN then provides ABK with milk and coconut water, but things got worse as ABK had convulsions.
After being taken to Elisabeth Hospital, the hospital states that ABK could not be saved and report the case to the police.
“The article that will be used is Article 81 of the Child Protection Law concerning intercourse with minors. And we apply Article 338 with a minimum sentence of 5 years, a maximum of 15 years and a maximum fine of Rp. 5 billion,” said Irwan.
