A youth leader from Papua, Aplinus Kocu, supports Head of State Intelligence Agency (BIN), Budi Gunawan, to be the candidates for Indonesian Vice President along with Ganjar Pranowo as the President in 2024 General Elections, Friday (5/19).
“The Head of State Intelligence Agency has aspects that are perfect for Ganjar Pranowo in 2024 because he has good track records if we see from his responsiveness, leadership, and regulations. This is truly a complete package that are not present in others,” he said in his statement on Tuesday (5/16).
Although only as Head of BIN, according to Alpinus, Budi Gunawan also played a vital role in developing a region, such as the forming of Papua Youth Creative Hub (PYCH) on March 21st, 2023.
“PYCH is one of the proof of Budi Gunawan’s attention to develop the youngsters here in Papua. We are happy and grateful for his initiation,” says former Secretary of the Student Executive Board (BEM) of the Faculty of Engineering, Cenderawasih University (Uncen).
Moreover, Budi Gunawan is also a person who is loyal to Joko Widodo presidency. The stability of national peace and defense is also thanks to role played by BIN.
“There are no more reason for PDI Perjuangan to not pick Budi Gunawan as the running mate for Ganjar Pranowo,” he said. Alpinus even plans to declare the formation of Ganjar-Budi Gunawan volunteers as presidential and vice presidential candidates in 2024.
