An Armed Criminal Group allegedly have shot Sahar, a civilian and mechanic, in Bilogai, Sugapa, Intan Jaya, Central Papua, on Monday.
“It is true, he was shot and got hit on his back. Now he is being treated at Sugapa Health Center. It happened around 15:00 WIT,” says Head of Cartenz Peace Ops, Grand Commissioner of Police Faizal Ramadhani in Jayapura.
Faizal says that until now, his party is still unable to get the full report of the incident from Intan Jaya City Police due to communication signal issue.
“We are still waiting for the full report regarding the incident and we still couldn’t confirm from what Criminal Group the perpetrator is,” explained Grand Commissioner Faizal who also works as the Director of General Criminal Investigation of Papua Police.
Regarding the possibility of evacuating Sahar to Nabire, Faizal says until now he is still being treated and adds that there no planes yet that could transport him.
“Possibly on Tuesday (1/31) he will be moved to Nabire for further medical attention,” he said.
