The Working Group I of the New Autonomous Regions Escort Task Force ensures that various needs to support the development of South Papua Province are met, which is crucial, especially before the inauguration of the province and the inauguration of the Acting Governor.
To ensure this, during their second visit, Group I held a meeting with the Head of the Merauke Regency Financial and Asset Management Agency (BPKAD) and the Head of the Papua Province Organizational Bureau at the Merauke Regency BPKAD Office, Tuesday (13/9/2022). Then, they also reviewed the location where they would construct the South Papua Provincial Government complex.
In a remark of the Director of Synchronization of Regional Government Affairs (SUPD), Edison Siagian, who is a member of Group I said that their arrival was to continue the process that had been carried out by the previous group, mainly by preparing the availability of offices, the formation of Regional Apparatus Organizations (OPD), human resources (HR), and so on.
“Therefore, our task in our visit is to confirm the things that have been agreed upon in the minutes that have been made by the team that came here before,” he explained.
Papua Province and four regencies such as Merauke, Mappi, Asmat, and Boven Digoel Regencies have agreed to provide grant funds to South Papua Province. On that occasion, his party will also check various developments from the results of the agreement.
He hopes that they can further clarify the fulfillment of South Papua needs in various aspects. He also hoped that all relevant parties can continue to support the development of South Papua Province.
On that occasion, he also emphasized various aspects that need to be considered in supporting the development of the South Papua Province, including the preparation of the Regional Revenue and Expenditure Budget (APBD), Regional Development Plans (RPD), Regional Government Work Plans (RKPD), Spatial Planning Region (RTRW), and others.
