The festivities of the 17 August Independence Day have been resounded. The Red and White Flag has flown high in Okmakot Village, Oksibil District, and Tulo Village in Bintang Mountains Regency.

On August 3rd, 2022, fresh still in the morning, the villagers in Bintang Mountains Regency enthusiastically working together with the others to flown the Indonesian flag that they got from the Armed National Forces, to celebrate the upcoming Indonesian Independence day.

On that day, in the early morning, the Commander of Koramil 1715-05 Oksibil, Captain Dwi Wawan H, went off from the dormitory with several other personnel in the morning and went to the villages of Bintang Mountains.

Arrived in Okmakot Village at 08:40 a.m., the personnel begun to share the Indonesian flag to the people so that they could install it in their house and shops.

After done sharing the flag in Okmakot village, Captain Dwi immediately went of to Tulo Village and together with the villagers, they flown the Red and White Flag.

The people of Tulo Village themselves asked that they want to flown the flag near their houses, not just on the side of the road.

Hopefully, by flying the Indonesian flag, it could incite the nationalism of the people of Bintang Mountains Regency and reminds them that soon they will celebrate, with other Indonesians from other regions, their Independence that they got 77 years ago.
