The government continues to strive to accelerate development in Papua to realize the grand vision of independent, fair, and prosperous Papua within the framework of special autonomy (Otsus). This vision can be achieved by carrying out the main mission, namely building Healthy Papua, Smart Papua, and Productive Papua. Collaboration from various parties is needed so that the program can be implemented properly.

This was conveyed by Vice Minister of Home Affairs Ribka Haluk after receiving an audience with the Secretariat of the Papua Special Autonomy Development Acceleration Steering Committee (BP3OKP) or the Papua Steering Committee (BPP) of the West Papua Province in Jakarta recently.

“The main mission in accelerating the welfare development of Papua is to achieve Healthy Papua, Smart Papua, and Productive Papua,” said Ribka.

According to her, the successful implementation of this vision requires high commitment and consistent efforts from all stakeholders and the community.

“This vision reflects the government’s efforts to bring Papua towards major changes in the future. This can also be achieved through consistent and sustainable efforts,” Ribka said.

Ribka also appreciated BP3OKP/BPP of West Papua Province which continues to strive to run various programs in carrying out the mission of Healthy Papua, Smart Papua, and Productive Papua by collaborating with all stakeholders.

“I appreciate it and this should be a good example as all elements, from the government, institutions, figures to the community collaborate to realize this program,” he said.

In her conclusion, she invited all parties to continue to support various priority government programs in Papua to realize a much better generation of Papua.
