papuachronicle.co – Jayawijaya. Vice Minister of Home Affairs Ribka Haluk continues to accelerate development in the New Autonomous Region of Papua. One of the efforts was made by directly reviewing the Papua Mountains Government Center Area in Wouma-Walesi, Jayawijaya Regency on Monday (11/18/2024).
In her statement after reviewing the area, Ribka said that as the vice minister, she was tasked with ensuring that the development process in the three New Autonomous Region continued according to plan. She also saw a lot of development progress that had been carried out in the Papua Mountains Province, both in terms of land acquisition, to the development of infrastructure and facilities.
“I have visited Papua Mountains and yes I understand and acknowledge the current situation. But one thing we want to make sure is that the land problem has been resolved, and it did,” said Ribka in front of the media crew.
She continues to encourage the acceleration of more technical development, such as in terms of completeness of documents, as this aspect will be closely related to the continuation of office development, including the governor’s office, the Papuan People’s Representative Council (DPRP), and the Papuan People’s Assembly (MRP). Ribka said that in relation to development efforts, the central government through the Ministry of Public Works will continue to oversee these steps.
On that occasion, Ribka appreciated the efforts to resolve land issues in Papua Mountains. She also ensured that all communities have supported the ongoing development process.
“The seniors here have agreed, have submitted [land settlement], thank you very much. I and the central government, once again express our appreciation and gratitude,” she added.
She invited all parties to jointly oversee development in Papua Pegunungan. Thus, development can be achieved according to the target. In addition, her party also continues to monitor preparations for the construction of flats for State Civil Apparatus (ASN) in Papua Pegunungan.
