Billy Mambrasar is the first sons of Papua who officially becomes one of 70 Australian graduate who gave the biggest impact in Indonesia. He was inaugurated during the event of “70 Years, 70 Faces Australian Alumni in Indonesia Photo Exhibition,” on last July.

He was awarded for his contribution in giving 28 policy recommendations during his time as Presidential Special Staff. The recommendation, which resolves around Inovations, Educations and Outermost Regions, have been received by the Indonesian President himself, Joko Widodo.

His recommendations then turned to programs which are, Millennial Farmer Training, Development of the Papua Youth Creative Hub, and the National Youth Talent Management Program (MANTAP). These programs proved to be effective for the development of Indonesian next generation.

The Australian Award was held in Emiria Soenasa Art Gallery, Jakarta. This photo exhibition is part of an ongoing campaign of Australian Government in giving scholarship for Indonesian students. The campaign was launched by Australian Ambassador for Indonesia, Penny Williams on March 3rd, 2023.

Other than Billy Mambrasar, there are also the Vice Governor Emil Dardak and Vice Minister Alue Dohong on the list.

Billy himself has finished his master degree in Australian National University majoring in business administration.

He was also became the first Indonesian who was awarded the 2014 Student of the Year while studying there.

After finishing his study in Australia, he then went on to Harvard University majoring Psychology of Human Development. He firmly believes that education is the key for a better Indonesia.
