An Armed Criminal Group (KKB) have wrecked another havoc in Bintang Mountains, Papua, by burning down a school and shot a cargo plane who was about to land in Oksibil Airport, Monday (1/9).
“KKB have burned down a national Vocational High School 1,” says the Head of Papua Police Public Relations, Commissioner Ignatius Benny Ady Prabowo to detik.com, Monday (1/9).
He said that the burning was at around 10:00 local time. No one got injured nor died on the incident, but caused a financial loss and halted the learning activities.
Not long after the school burning, the group shot a cargo plane who was about to land in Oksibil Airport, which resulted a fail landing.
“After that, the Armed Criminal Group also shot Caravan PK HVV, which is a cargo plane who carries market supplies that was about to do landing,” he said. “Due to the attack, the plane failed to land and returns to Bovendigoel,” continued Commissioner Ignatius.
Ignatius says that his party still could have not determined if there are any victims due to the shootings. On the other hand, security personnel have been deployed to search the area after the attack.
“We still could not determine if there are any victims or if the plane got hit, because the plane is still on the way. Currently our security personnel have been dispatched to search the criminal group in the area,” he said in his conclusion.
