Merauke Deputy Regent Appreciated Ministry of Home Affairs in Preparing South Papua Province
Deputy Regent of Merauke, Riduwan, appreciated the Ministry of Home Affairs for working well in preparing the government of South Papua Province.
In preparing the South Papua Province, the Ministry of Home Affairs deployed the Working Group I of the New Autonomous Regions Escort Task Force in preparing the Province of South Papua.
“As the Deputy Regent of Merauke, we from the regional government of Merauke Regency would like to express our highest appreciation to the Minister of Home Affairs due to his seriousness and all his staff in preparing this new autonomous region,” said Riduwan in one of his statements, Thursday (15/9/2022).
Riduwan said that his party will fully support the preparation of the South Papua Province. This statement is also in line with their agreement in the initial stage of the preparation. “We will help preparing all the necessary preparation and we are committed to fulfil our agreement,” he explained.
He hopes that the inauguration of the South Papua Province can be fully realized in October. He also hopes that the plans that have been prepared can be carried out properly. He revealed that the establishment of the South Papua Province is a policy that the local community has been waiting for and has been fighting for for a long time.
“I want to say thank you to the Minister of Home Affairs and all his staff who have been very attentive and very good at preparing the new province,” he said.
