Two personnel of Jayapura Police, Papua, were dishonorably fired in dishonorable dismissal ceremony (PTDH) at the Jayapura Police Headquarters, Friday (31/3/2023).
The two members of Jayapura Police are Second Police Inspector Adjutant RT from Nimbokrang Sector Police and Bridagier OW from Nimboran Sector Police.
Head of Jayapura Resort Police, Police Grand Commissioner Adjutant Fredrickus W.A Maclarimboen says the two were fired because of violations. RT allegedly have committed immoral violations, while OW did not carry out his official duties.
“The two were fired because of violations. For RT, he was fired because of immoral violations, while OW was fired because he did not carry out his official duties in a row,” says Fredrickus after directly lead the dismissal ceremony.
During the ceremony, Fredrickus stripped the police uniform from RT and OW, and the two wear civilian shirts afterwards.
Fredrickus says it was unfortunate for the two to commit those violations, because Indonesian Police is short in number.
“Ofcourse it was unfortunate as we are now in need of more members. But what’s done is done, they have to be fired,” says Fredrickus.
“This should be a lesson for the others, so as to supress any immoral actions from the Police,” continued Fredrickus.
Fredrickus hoped all police members in Jayapura could carry out their duties honorably and well, while also obeying the applicable laws, so that their service to the community could run smoothly.
