Joint investigators from Nduga Police and Papua Police identified 15 suspects of Susi Air plane burning in Paro, Nduga, Papua Mountains.

General Criminal Investigation Directorate of Papua Police, Grand Commissioner Faizal Rahmadani during press conference announced the-15 suspects, including the leader of the rebel group, Egianus Kogoya.

Other than identified as suspect, the 15 also listed in Wanted Person whose identities and their photos have been released to the public and police stations in the area.

“Fifteen subjects have been identified as supect and has been in the wanted list. They are from the rebel groups who burned down the plane of Susi Air,” says Faizal.

He continued that some of the suspects are not in the video and identified through examining the witnesses.

“There are five witnesses that we examined,” says Faizal.

Regarding the kidnapped pilot, Faizal states that the search is still on going.

“Hopefully the pilot, Philip Mark Mahrtens, who have been kidnapped on February 7th, could be freed as soon as possible,” pray Faizal.

The leader of the rebel group, Egianus Kogoya, kidnap the pilot of Susi Air who are from New Zealand on February 7th. He held him as hostage after the pilot landed his plane at Paro along with five other crews. After kidnapping the pilot, Egianus and his underlings burned down the plane.
