Soldiers of 1715-01 Military Regional Command of Oksibil continues to ensure schools enrolls as usual and safely after recent terrors of Armed Civil Group or Armed Criminal Group in the area, Bintang Mountains Regency.
Commander of Oksibil Military Regional Command, Lieutenant Colonel Johanis Victorianus Tethool, Monday, says that his soldiers continuously monitors the situations in the area and in the schools by directly went to the locations.
Patrols, who directly led by Tethool, is also part of their efforts in bridging communications between TNI’s Village Superintendent (Babinsa) and school parties.
“Our Babinsa continuously comunicated with all community elements, either religious leaders, community leaders and teachers, which could be an input for learning process to go smoothy and optimally,” says Tethool.
Tethool reveals that this activity is not only held in Oksibil but the ranks of 1715 Military Regional Command of Yahukimo also patrols Kiwirok, Okbibab, and Batom.
The principal of SMA Negeri 1 Oksibil, Kasiono, conveys his gratitude to the soldiers who continuously maintain security and order in the area so that teachers could still teach their students without any worries.
“On behalf of the school, I want to thank Oksibil soldiers who continuously gave their contributions to the people, and to us, to continue teach the new generations of Papua without fear,” says Kasiono.
He also adds that he and the other teachers have already appealed their student to stay motivated in learning without worrying about recent incident.
Previously, on 7 and 9 January, an Armed Criminal Group led by Anasias Mimin terrorize Oksibil by burning down SMKN 1 Kapiding and the office of Population and Civil Registry, and also shoot a civil flights. Fortunately, no deaths recorded on those incidents.
