The Armed Criminal Group (KKB) have burned down the office of Population and Civil Registry (Disdukcapil) of Bintang Mountains in Oksibil, on Wednesday January 11th, 2023, 01:15 midnight.
The Director General of Disdukcapil of Ministry of Home Affairs, Prof. Zudan Fakrullah, confirmed the incident in Oksibil, Bintang Mountains.
“From the report that we have received, the office have burned down to the ground,” said Zudan on telephone.
Officials said that they are currently still considering what service measures should be taken in light of this incident.
“We are still looking for solutions, so that our service to the community could still continue,” said Zudan.
Previously, Bintang Mountains Police Chief, AKBP Moh. Dafi Bastomi stated that KKB have burned down the office on Wednesday midnight.
The perpetrator of the burning allegedly is KKB Kodap XXXV East Bintang and it was reported there are five gunshots when the fire is blazing.
Security personnel then immediately dispatched to secure the civilians around Disdukcapil office to Bintang Mountains Police HQ.
“There are 73 people who took refuge at the police HQ,” says AKBP Dafi.
He says that all of those refugees have returned to their homes and fire was extinguished at 03:15 local time.
“Currently security personnel from TNI-Polri have intensified their security patrol and monitor the situation around the area,” concludes AKBP Dafi Bustami.
