The Military District Command 1715-01/Oksibil carries out Social Service activities by providing food supplies to the people of Epsiding Village, Bintang Mountains Regency, Sunday (14/8).

The Commander of 1715/Yahukimo, Lieutenant Colonel Johanis V Tethool said that his parties invited the people of Bintang Mountains to celebrate the 77th Independence Day of Indonesia by making various kinds of fun and positive activities.

“I also want to invite you all to jointly maintain the public safety and security in Bintang Mountains Regency,” he said.

Meanwhile, the Commander of 1715-01/Oksibil, Captain Dwi Wawan stated that he was ordered by Commander 1715/Yahukimo to carried out various kinds of activities with all of their personnel in Oksibil District to celebrate Indonesian Independence Day.

Other than providing food supplies, Wawan also repaired the village gate and, together with the locals, installed the Indonesian Flag and banners around the village.

“We want Epsiding village to be colorful with Red and White flag that has been installed neatly to celebrate our 77th Independence Day,” said Captain Dwi Wawan.

He added that they chose Epsiding because they already have a strong and deep relationship with the people’s there, full with warmth.

It could be seen that the adults and the children of Epsiding enthusiastically helped the personnel fixed the village gate and installed the Indonesian flag in around their village.

Kalep (30), one of the villagers, expressed his deep gratitude for the concern of Indonesian Army to his village.

“It is true that we already have a deep bond with the Army in Oksibil. This is because we all want peace in this land, and we thank them for their concern in safeguarding us,” he thanked.
