The Cartenz Peace Ops Community Development Task Force have returned with their KASUARI Program, which now was held at Honoilama Dua Village. The group, led by Iptu Mades Sujana and other three personnel, visited the community leader of the village, Karel Kosay, which is the Head of Honailama Dua Farmers Group, (7/29).
Other than tightening the bond between them, the group also inspect the farmland of Karel Kosay. Iptu Made also invited other farmers to be enthusiastic in farming. He said that with high productivity in farming, it would give a huge positive impact in the welfare of the people.
“They will feel the positive impact. If the productivity is high, then it would also increase their economic income, which then would increase their welfare,” said Iptu Made.
Other than that, Iptu Made asked Karel Kosay, as the Community Leader and the Head of Farmer in the region, to invite more people to participate in developing agriculture and to be more innovative in planting vegetable seeds with varied agricultural products.
“If the agricultural products is varied, it would attract more buyers in buying local products. Therefore, it would make Papuans do not have to rely on other regions because they can produce the products on their own,” stressed Iptu Made.
A positive remark has also been stated by Karel Kosay. He appreciates the Noken Community Development effort in guiding and developing Honailama Dua Village.
“I often invited the youngsters here to help us in developing this region, but it is so hard to do that because of how many negative influences from outside. However, I will still continue to help the Police in maintaining the public security and harmony of Honailama Dua,” said Karel Kosay.
In a different place, the Head of Cartenz Peace Ops Public Relation, Commissioner Ahmad Mustofa Kamal, when confirmed through Whatsapp chat, said that the program of Noken Community Development is to develop the agricultural sector of Honailama Dua Village
“The program has been carried out since 2021 and there has been a lot of progress. We hope the results are as we expected so that this can give a positive impact on the economy of the local residents,” said Commissioner Ahmad Mustofa.
His party also added that this activity was also a means of communication between Noken Community Development and the locals. And also as a means to convey the message of public safety and security.
“They (Binmas Noken) also urge the people not to be easily provoked by false issues and implored to cooperate with each other in creating a conducive situation,” he concluded
