papuachronicle.co – Raja Ampat. The Raja Ampat General Election Commission completed the recapitulation of the vote count for the 2024 district-level regional elections on Thursday (12/5/2024). Based on the recapitulation results held at the Raja Ampat KPU Office, the candidate for governor and deputy governor of Southwest Papua Elisa Kambu-Ahmad Nausrau received the highest votes.
The votes obtained by each candidate in Raja Ampat Regency are the following;
Candidate pair number 1, Abdul Faris Umlati-Petrus Kasihiw received 12,176 votes; Candidate pair number 2 Gabriel Asem-Lukman Wugaje received 1,968 votes;
Candidate pair number 3 Elisa Kambu-Ahmad Nausrau received 18,125 votes;
Candidate pair number 4 Joppye Omesimus Wayangkau-Ibrahim Wugaje received 1,772 votes;
And candidate pair number 5 Bernard Sagrim-Sirajudin Bauw received 1,410 votes.
The total valid votes in the election of the governor and deputy governor of Southwest Papua for the Raja Ampat region were 35,451 votes and 651 votes were declared invalid.
The chairman of the Raja Ampat KPU, Arsad Sehwaky, said that his party only determined the recapitulation of the vote results for the election of the regent and deputy regent. Meanwhile, for the election of the governor and deputy governor of Southwest Papua, the results were not determined because there were still stages up to the provincial level.
