papuachronicle.co – Nabire. In her visit to Nabire, Vice Minister of Home Affairs Ribka Haluk brought up various issues, including those related to the development of government management in four New Autonomous Regions (DOB).
Ribka explained that development in the four DOBs, South Papua, Central Papua, Papua Mountains, and Southwest Papua, requires a lot of time, energy, and manpower. However, she is optimistic that the expansion will have a positive impact on the Papuan people.
“I think people who work especially in civil government must know and feel how hard it is,” she said in describing the process of developing the DOBs.
In addition to very limited facilities, they are also required to be able to create regulations, legal products, one of which is the Governor’s Regulation (Pergub). Of the four new autonomous regions, according to Ribka, Central Papua is the most active in creating Pergub and other regulations.
“We have created almost 46 regulatory products and this is very tiring. There have been so many pioneering activities in the past year and a half,” she said.
Despite successfully producing 46 regional legal products, Ribka continued, there is still a lot of homework to be completed. This includes the development of a government system, management of the State Civil Apparatus (ASN), and the establishment of important institutions such as the Papuan People’s Assembly (MRP), and the holding of the first Simultaneous Regional Head Elections (Pilkada) in Indonesia.
Other important work that must be completed is filling the members of the Papuan People’s Representative Council (DPRP) through an appointment mechanism, as well as preparing offices and other supporting facilities. In addition, the formation of the Regency/City People’s Representative Council (DPRK) is also a major concern.
“So I urge the DPRK to be completed in December. I am working on this at the Ministry of Home Affairs for all of Papua,” she concluded.
