The Indonesian Ministry of Home Affaris awarded regional governments who excels in managing Regional Revenue and Expenditure Budget (APBD). The award was given by the ministry in APBD Award and The 2023 Regional Financial National Coordination Meeting (Rakornas) at the Mercure Convention Center Ancol Jakarta, Thursday (3/16/2023).
The Regional Financial Development of Home Affairs, Directorate General Agus Fatoni, says the APBD Award 2023 was given under three categories. First is the one with highest regional revenue. Second is with with the highest regional expenditure. And the third is with realization of the highest increase in Regional Original Income (PAD). Each of the categories were given to five provinces, five regencies, and five cities.
“The assesment are based on the calculation of budget realization report (LRA), then from that we formed a team who finally decide who deserved the award,” says Fatoni.
Moreover, he states that the ministry is still pushing the realization of APBD by forming monitoring and evaluation team along with other related ministries. Ministry of Home Affairs also states that they are part of monitoring and assisting the proces by going down directly to the location. His party is also conducting a coordination meeting in national, provincial, even regency/city level.
Fatoni adds that the ministry also held webinar series every week where people from around Indonesia could join virtually. The ministry is also working on increasing the human resources capacity, as well as issuing and stipulating various policies in order to encourage the realization of accelerated APBD.
“Many things have been done together in accelerating the realization of APBD. We humbly say our thanks for a good cooperation with the ministries and institutions and regional government, both in provincial and regency/city level,” says Fatoni.
During the APBD Award 2023 for the highest regional revenue category in city level is won by Samarinda, followed by Banjarbaru, Bontang, Mojokerto, and Denpasar. While the highest regional revenue in regency level is won by Bojonegoro, followed by West Sumbawa, Kutai Kertanegara, Tanah Laut, and Tanah Laut. And for the provincial level is won by East Kalimantan, Bangka Belitung Archipelago, Southeast Sulawesi, West Kalimantan, and East Java.
For the category of highest regional expenditure in city level is won by Pekanbaru, Kotamobagu, Sukabumi, Tasikmalaya, and Metro. Then for the regency level is won by Aceh Tamiang, Yahukimo, Nduga, Gayo Lues, and East Luwu. While for provincial level is won by Lampung, Riau Island, West Java, West Kalimantan, and Central Java.
While for the last category of Highest Regional Original Income Increase in city level is won by Palangkaraya, followed by Kendari, Pekanbaru, Tegal, and Cirebon. For the regency level, the award is won by Waropen, Intan Jaya, Puncak Jaya, Mappi, and Minahasa. While for the provincial level is won by North Kalimantan, Riau Island, West Kalimantan, Bali, and East Kalimantan.
