The Working Group I of the New Autonomous Regions Escort Task Force of Papua Mountains Province collects the proposed State Civil Apparatus data from the district government that will be included in the new province.

The data will later be submitted to the Ministry of Home Affairs to be processed further into the next preparation stage.

The Head of the Sub-Directorate Papua and West Papua Provinces Regional Autonomy, Budi Arwan, as the vice head of Group III, said that the data that they have collected were from four districts. Meanwhile, the other four districts are expected to be submitted on Sunday at the latest.

“So, that was some of the data that was submitted to the Ministry of Home Affairs from the Secretary of the Association of Regents of Papua Mountains Province,” Budi said after holding a coordination meeting with the Papua Provincial Government and several representatives of the local Regency Government at the Secretariat Office of the New Autonomous Region Task Force for Papua Mountains Province, Jayawijaya Regency, Friday (9/16/2022).

Other than the data of the proposed State Civil Apparatus, Group III also received the data regarding the existence of facilities and infrastructure to support the government of Papua Mountains Province, for example Jayawijaya Regency Agricultural Center which will be used as a temporary office for several Regional Apparatus Organizations (OPD) of the Papua Mountains Province.

The number of the proposed State Civil Apparatus submitted by districts in Papua Mountains Province is very diverse with the average number from 90 to 100 State Civil Apparatus, where each of them will be employed in the Papua Mountains Provincial Government.

Meanwhile, during the coordination meeting, the participants who were present expressed their full support for the preparations of Papua Mountains Province inauguration. Various facilities and infrastructure support was also provided to facilitate the new provincial government.
