papuachronicle.co – Jakarta. President Prabowo Subianto established the Executive Committee for the Acceleration of Papua’s Special Autonomy Development. Prabowo appointed Velix Wanggai as the committee’s chairman.
The committee’s inauguration was held at the State Palace in Jakarta on Wednesday (10/8/2025).
The formation and inauguration of the Executive Committee for the Acceleration of Papua’s Special Autonomy Development were carried out based on Presidential Decree Number 110P of 2025.
The inauguration began with the singing of the national anthem “Indonesia Raya” (Indonesia Raya). This was followed by the oath of office, led by Prabowo.
The committee consists of 10 individuals. Among these are former Deputy Minister of Home Affairs Ribka Haluk and former Deputy Minister of Home Affairs John Wempi Wetipo.
