The Noken Community Development of Cartenz Peace Ops visited Okmakot Village at Oksibil District, Bintang Mountains Regent, Papua on Wednesday (7/27) morning.

The visit was aimed to teach and educate the children of Okmakot village who cannot go to school. The task force teach the kids how to count, read, and write. This act of service from the task force is part of Noken Community Development program, SI-Ipar, to boost and encourage the kids to keep learning.

The Regional Korwil of Community Development Task Force, Iptu Jufri Rambu, stated that they had send their three personnel to meet the kids of Okmakot village. He stated that his parties committed to teach the kids until they can count, read, and write.

“We will always come to Okmakot Village to teach the children until they can read and write,” said Jufri

On that occassion, the Community Development Task Force also brought a present for the kids so they would be more enthusiastic in learning.

The task force planned to help the kids who cannot go to school to be included in the Package A exam for elementary school.
