papuachronicle.co – Puncak Jaya. Approximately 200 people of the 2024 Civil Servant Candidate (CPNS) participants held a protest related to the postponed stages of the CPNS test from 2024 to 2025. The protest was held in front of the Puncak Jaya Regent’s Office, Wednesday (9/10/2025)

The protest went well and smoothly as dozens of personnel from the Puncak Jaya Sub-regional Police provided security for the people to voice their aspirations.

The Acting Regional Secretary and Chair of CPNS Recruitment, Yubelina Enumbi, herself met the demanding protesters to hear their aspirations.

Puncak Jaya Sub-regional Police Chief, Superintendent Achmad Fauzan, confirmed that this morning approximately 200 people of the 2024 CPNS participants held a protest at the Regent’s Office.

Fauzan continued that after Yubelina met the protesters, they were then able to discuss the issue and the protesters were able to return to their homes safely and peacefully.

“We give our highest appreciation to the participants who held a peaceful demonstration this morning, where the activity was able to run safely and smoothly without any obstacles. We also saw that the protesters are able to voice their concerns directly to government officials,” explained Achmad.

Meanwhile, Yubelina Enumbi, said that resolving this problem has been a priority agenda since the beginning of the Regent and Deputy Regent’s term of office. Even though the national SKB selection has been completed, local challenges still pose obstacles, but the enthusiasm of the Regional Government remains high to complete this process.
