papuachronicle.co – Jakarta. Vice Minister of Home Affairs Ribka Haluk emphasized the Ministry of Home Affairs’ commitment to overseeing the construction of 2,200 houses in the Papua Mountains Province. Furthermore, the program is a direct directive from Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto.
“Regional Planning, Special Autonomy, and the Regional Autonomy Advisory Council Director is always assigned by the Minister to oversee all development processes in the region,” said Ribka while leading a Preparatory Meeting for the Construction of 2,200 Housing Units in Papua Mountains Province, (8/20/2025).
She explained that the results of this follow-up meeting would be reported to Minister of Home Affairs Muhammad Tito Karnavian and Minister of PKP Maruarar Sirait. The results would then be presented to President Prabowo Subianto. Therefore, she emphasized the importance of improving the technical aspects of the program’s implementation readiness.
Ribka added that one thing that needs to be considered is recording the various stages carried out by the teams, both at the Ministry of Home Affairs and the Ministry of PKP.
In the forum, Ribka explained the preparations the Ministry of Home Affairs is continuing to work on, both regulatory and administrative. In addition, other aspects such as the roadmap, housing types, and the required costs are also being refined.
“The technical aspects will be handled by our colleagues [at the Ministry of PKP] here. We at the Ministry of Home Affairs are only providing support. And whatever we can help, we will help. So we coordinate,” she concluded.
