There were reports some honorary employee intruders have passed the test for Jayapura Regional Government Civil Servant Candidates (CPNS). Member of Papua Steering Committee, Acceleration of Papua Special Autonomy (BP3OKP), Pastor Alberth Yoku says that they are currently investigating the case, Wednesday (5/3).

“We will investigate this case on an official basis, we will also take advocative steps for the Indigenous Papuans here, because this is indeed outrageous,” says Alberth Yoku in Jayapura, Wednesday (5/3).

Alberth states that K2 honorary employee who been promoted to CPNS is part of government efforts in giving the people more job opportunities.

“For that, regional government have to act fast in uncovering this case. So I do think that this is a must and have to be done, and that’s also why we sent a team to investigate to see what had happened and take proper firm steps. Not just here, but throughout regencies and cities in Papua,” says Alberth.

Yoku says that with the current allegations of these intruders who passed the test, it should have been handled by local leaders. Those leaders also should have a higher moral and saw the situation more clearly to solve this issue.

“You are the leader of this region, so why have you opened this chance to those from the outside? So if there are indeed officials who are like this, they should have been given discpilinary sanctions because they did not respect and care for the people,” said Alberth firmly.

Alberth then reminds to the officials who did the wrongdoings that BP3OKP work to secure and monitor the peaceful live of Papuans.

“I just want to say that currently we are facing many issues in Papua, both in politics and others. For that, please no more decisions or regulations that could harm the people here,” conclude Alberth.
