Reza Cahyono and handed over his position to Berlinda Ursula Mayor as Chairperson of the Class IB Manokwari District Court, at Asotn Niu Manokwari Hotel, Wednesday, in her inauguration day as she took the oath of office.
Reza himself would be the Head of Pamulang Court in East Java.
The oath taking was led by Head of West Papua High Court, Hery Supriyono. This marks as historical event as Berlinda is the first woman from Papua who became the head of Manokwari District Court.
“The saying of apple doesn’t fall far from the tree is indeed true. The blessing and love of Belinda’s father, who is a judge and Head of Jayapura Court Efraim Mayor, I myself was once work under him, so I know them well. And now, his daughter has become the head of Manokwari District Court,” said Hery Supriyono when giving his remarks in front of Manokwari Regional Leadership Coordination Forum, guests, lawyers, and officials of Manokwari District Court, at Aston Niu Manokwari Hotel, Wednesday (1/4)
Berlinda is the first female judge who will lead a district court at West Papua, and marks as historical event that would be remembered throughout Papua and Indonesia.
“Ofcourse I do believe that Berlinda would continue to get better and her career will go soar high, because she does have the talent and her background academy is really amazing. Let’s pray that she would continue to do well so she then could be the next head of West Papua High Court,” says Hery Supriyono.
